Summary

The VI International URSI Suzdal Symposium on "Effects of Artificial Action on the Earth Ionosphere by Powerful Radio Waves" has been lead on October 19-21, 2004 in Moscow, Russia. The symposium was organized by Institute of Terrestrial Magnetism, Ionosphere and Radiowave Propagation of Russian Academy of sciences (IZMIRAN) under supervision of Russian National Committee of International Radio Science Union (URSI).

The purpose of the symposium was to summarize recent researches and to discuss new investigation directions on problem of ionosphere response by powerful radio-emissions.

The scientific program of the symposium included the following questions:

  1. Powerful HF radio waves interaction with the ionospheric plasma;
  2. ELF-VLF waves excitation in the ionosphere and magnetosphere;
  3. Atmospheric electric field and powerful radio-emissions.

During plenary and section sessions 41 scientific reports has been heard, and also 29 posters are submitted. The abstracts of reports are published in the " Effects of Artificial Action on the Earth Ionosphere by Powerful Radio Waves ".
